The king bear of yoga

Santra, a female bear at the Ahtar Zoo in Finland, entertained visitors with her strange ability.

He would do 15 minutes of ‘yoga’ after sleeping. Sitting upright, Santra grabbed her right hind paw with her front paws, then her left, stretching her legs as if doing a
one-legged split. He then demonstrated the open-legged sitting balance position in

near-perfect fashion, pulling both back legs up while maintaining balance. Meta Penka, who happened to be at the zoo and photographed Santra’s speech, said the bear “looked focused and calm, as if he understood the importance of yoga and its health benefits.”
